Most modern debates are a replay of algorithm-driven feeds. People repeat borrowed opinions, nuance is lost, and changing your mind is treated like a defeat.
We're doing things differently.
Talking Points is a modern salon for intellectual exploration that goes beneath the surface. Hosted in intimate, curated spaces in and around Providence, Rhode Island, we gather 10 to 12 people for lively, facilitated discussions on deep, cross-cutting themes.
To keep the dialogue fresh, the evening's topic is a secret until you arrive. No rehearsed arguments. No prepared speeches. Just you and a friendly group of strangers exercising your creativity and critical thinking to navigate questions with no clear answers.
This is a space to actively expand your worldview, stress-test ideas, and embrace the freedom of new perspectives. You'll leave with a sharper intellect, a lighter spirit, and the satisfaction that comes from genuinely invigorating conversation.
To keep the intellectual spark alive, we operate by three non-negotiable rules:
Make your point, keep it sharp, and pass the mic. We favor punchy humor over academic monologues.
Disagreements are encouraged, but we're not playing to win. Changing your mind is celebrated.
Bring your lived experience, not your business cards. No networking, no self-promotion, and no selling.
Talking Points is strictly limited to 10–12 guests per session to keep discussions intimate and impactful.
